Arryn Craney PhD D(ABMM)

Dr. Craney is a board-certified medical microbiologist and has over 20 years of experience in the field of infectious diseases diagnostics.  She began her career in antibiotics research.  Completing both her PhD and postdoctoral training in developing novel antibiotics and understanding mechanisms of antibiotic resistance.

This work led her to complete a fellowship in Medical Microbiology and Public Health at the University of Nebraska Medical College.  During this time, Dr. Craney developed a passion for developing diagnostics for infectious disease to fit all testing needs, marrying well with her interests in understanding antibiotic resistance.  Dr. Craney has worked to advance infectious disease diagnostics in a variety of settings including research, public health, industry, community hospitals and academic medical centers and routinely works with industry partners to develop novel diagnostics.  This unique experience allows Dr. Craney to consult and serve as the subject matter expert on a variety of aspects to advance diagnostic testing.  

Dr. Craney's specific expertise is in advancing molecular diagnostics, including next-generation sequencing applications and clinical mechanisms of antibiotic resistance.
